Project process

At the heart of any design project, is a well-structured process. Here, I have outlined the process that I use when working with clients, so you know exactly what to expect if you’re interested in starting a project with me.

Onboarding

The first step to take if you would like to start a project with me is to enquire through my contact form. After reviewing your enquiry, I'll be in touch shortly to set up a virtual meeting to discuss the scope of the project, deliverables, timeframes, budgets and so on. This helps me to make sure that I have all of the details that I need before the project starts.

Admin

After all the details of the project have been outlined, some important admin needs to be done. Firstly, I'll send over a project proposal for you to confirm. This will detail all of the deliverables that we previously agreed upon, along with a quoted cost. Once approved, I'll share the contract and 50% deposit invoice with you. After these have been signed and paid, I'll then provide you with a discovery questionnaire to fill out. This will allow me to gain more of an understanding of your business/company as well as the creative direction of the project.

Design

Following on from receiving the signed contract, the payment for the deposit and the completed questionnaire, I can now initiate my design process. This process is made up of 4 main stages: research (looking into the industry your business is in, your competitors and your target audience), initial ideas generation (sketching as many ideas as I can come up with), refinement (choosing the most effective ideas and refining them digitally before selecting the best one to develop) and feedback (presenting the design to you for your feedback and then refining the design further depending on your comments).

Launch

Once the design has been signed off, I'll share an invoice for the final 50% of the project cost. When this has been paid, I'll send you all of the files and exports in an organised folder for you to use immediately and share with the world!
