Logo Design
ArdMech Engineering is a mechanical installation company that specialises in plumbing and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). They work on a range of projects, encompassing both residential and commercial builds. Their founder, Odhran, approached me looking for a simple and timeless logo to represent the company.
After an intensive experimentation phase, I arrived at a concept that combined a wrench and the letter A into a single logomark, contained in a circular form. The wrench provides a link to mechanical installation because it’s a common tool used within the field. Furthermore, the ‘A’ takes the shape of a generalised house/building, representing the various building types that ArdMech work on. The reasoning behind the circular composition links to the shape of a pipe (pipes are abundant in plumbing and HVAC).
